Mahasiswa Cyber University Raih Juara 2 Business Plan Competition Imagepreneur

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Mahasiswa Universitas Siber Indonesia atau Cyber University berhasil menjadi juara 2 dalam kompetisi Business Plan Competition Imagepreneur Series, yang digelar oleh Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, pada bulan November 2023 silam. Kompetisi ini diikuti berbagai kampus dengan skala nasional dengan tema ‘Green Entrepeneurship: Building a Sustainable Business’. 

Hadirnya event ini bertujuan untuk memunculkan bibit entrepreneur dan ide bisnis yang mampu mengatasi permasalahan iklim dan ekonomi secara berkelanjutan. Kampus ternama yang mengikuti kompetisi dari seluruh Indonesia seperti Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), IPB University (IPB), dan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), masing-masing berhasil masuk ke tahap 10 besar. Salah satu kejutan datang dari kampus Cyber University yang dulunya bernama BRI Institute ini, di mana Tim Green Pigeons juga berhasil mencuri tempat di 10 besar.

Tim Green Pigeons, yang terdiri dari Gregorius Peitra, Bagas Indra Safrilla, dan Desvika Elsa, berhasil memukau dewan juri dengan ide bisnis inovatif mereka, yakni Bank Sampah Digital ‘W-Bank’ berupa aplikasi mobile yang mengantarkan mereka meraih juara dua.

CHAMPION OF HOPE 1 – FEB Unud students successfully won first place in the National Business Plan Competition Economy Festival 2023.

Students from the Undergraduate Development Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Udayana University (Unud), namely the Srikandi Team consisting of Anak Agung Made Dinda Riana Dewi, Ni Gusti Ayu Dwi Widyari, and Ni Kadek Ambara Putri succeeded in getting first place in the competition. National Business Plan Competition Economy Festival 2023 which will be held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Economics, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, which will be held on November 18 2023.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. –The California High-Speed ​​Rail Authority (Authority) today issued its draft 2024 Business Plan for public review and comment. The draft 2024 Business Plan reaffirms the Authority’s goal of advancing a clean, electrified high-speed rail in California.

The plan discusses major program progress in Northern California, the Central Valley and Southern California, as well as updates on federal funding, ridership and construction status. It also maintains costs and schedules from the 2023 Project Update Report, released 11 months ago.

Highlights between the 2023 Project Update Report and this draft 2024 Business Plan include:

  • The Authority was awarded $3.3 billion in new federal funds to advance the work on the initial operating segment between Merced and Bakersfield.
  • The Authority is advancing necessary procurements to move the project from construction into operations, including purchasing electrified trains and designing the track and systems needed for passenger service.
  • The first construction package (CP 4) covering 22.5 miles in the Central Valley reached substantial completion.

Council backs Budget and Business Plan

South Cambridgeshire District Council’s plans for the year ahead will see them remain as one of the lowest taxing authorities in the country.

In a meeting of Full Council today (Tuesday 27 February) members voted to back the Budgets and Business Plan for the next 12 months and said the budget was being set against a challenging background of rising population, increasing costs due to inflation and a national homelessness crisis.

The plans retain the Council as one of the lowest taxing authorities in the country, with a £5 per year increase for the average band D household, equivalent to a below inflation rise of around 3%.

In addition, a budget of £519,000 has been agreed as part of the Council’s continued Digital Transformation work – which aims to make services even more accessible to residents in a way that works for them. This will fund the software and staffing costs needed to make it easier for customers to get the help they need.

This includes the first public-facing use by the Council of AI in providing direct support to residents. Customers using the website or telephoning the Council outside of normal office hours will be able to have their

The Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship announced the 42 student-led teams worldwide that will compete in the highly competitive Rice Business Plan Competition this spring.

The annual competition, known as one of the world’s largest and richest intercollegiate student startup competitions, will take place April 4 to 6 in Houston. Teams in this year’s competition represent 35 universities from four countries, including two teams from Houston and four others from Texas.

Teams, made up of graduate students from a college or university anywhere in the world, will present their plans before 350 angel, venture capital, and corporate investors to compete for more than $1 million in prizes. New round of MEO Core Four Business Planning Course begins March 5 : Maui Now

The Core Four Business Planning Course’s second series of 2024, presented by Maui Economic Opportunity’s (MEO’s) Business Development Center, begins Tuesday, March 5, and runs twice weekly through Thursday, April 4.

Classes can be attended via Zoom or in-person at MEO’s Wailuku classroom.

Core Four focuses on how to write a business plan and provides the information needed to start, operate and grow a business. It is intended for those thinking about starting a business or just starting out and needing further direction.

Those interested in learning more about the entrepreneurial training course can attend an introductory class Thursday, Feb. 29, noon, at MEO’s Wailuku classroom, 99 Mahalani St., behind the J. Walter Cameron Center.

Entrepreneurs win thousands of dollars in SIU’s 2023 business plan competition

CARBONDALE, Ill. — The innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and ingenuity of Southern Illinoisans were celebrated at the recent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Showcase at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and $20,000 dollars in cash and prizes were awarded.

In the Southern Illinois Business Plan Competition Powered by Regions Bank, Thermaquatica, a Carbondale carbon-recycling company represented by Scott Hamilton-Brehm, took first place honors and $5,000 cash along with $2,000 in marketing services from the Arthur Agency, a one-hour strategy session and five hours of legal work from Legal Advocacy Headquarters.

Also claiming top prizes were:

  • Second: Harrison Sleep Lab, a Du Quoin health care business, represented by Chad Harris. Second prize included $3,000, along with a one-hour strategy session and three hours of legal work from Legal Advocacy Headquarters.
